Demon — A fallen angel who rebelled against God and now serves Satan's purposes on earth.
Lucifer — The original name of Satan, meaning "light-bearer"; the highest created angel who fell through pride.
Fallen Angels — Angels who followed Lucifer in rebellion; identified in Scripture as "devils," "unclean spirits," and "demons."
The Prince of the Power of the Air — One of Satan's titles Ephesians 2:2, describing his temporary authority over the fallen world system.
James 2:19 — "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
Ezekiel 28:15 — "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."
1 Peter 5:8 — "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
