Part V — How the Enemy Gains Access: Open Doors and Spiritual Attacks
She was a nurse practitioner. She added Reiki certification to her practice because patients asked for it and because the research on touch-based therapies was promising. She was also a Christian. She told herself the energy she channeled was the Holy Spirit.
The first time she performed an attunement on a new student — the ritual process of "opening" someone to the Reiki channel — the student's eyes rolled back and she spoke in a voice that was not her own for several seconds. The Reiki teacher who trained her said this was "a strong energy response." It happened at every attunement thereafter.
She had never been taught what an attunement actually is: a ritual initiation connecting the student to the entities that power the Reiki system. What she was doing, every time she performed one, was opening another person to demonic possession.
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing system founded by Mikao Usui following a 21-day fast on Mount Kurama that he described as a mystical initiation — the classic format of occult transmission. Practitioners channel what they call "universal life force energy" (Rei = universal, Ki = life energy) into clients through prescribed hand placements on the body.
Variants include Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch, Pranic Healing, and Quantum Touch. "Christian Reiki" attempts to baptize the practice with Christian language while retaining its entire spiritual architecture.
Training involves "attunements" — ritual initiations connecting students to the Reiki source. The symbols used (Cho Ku Rei, Sei He Ki, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen) are occult sigils functioning as conduits to specific spiritual forces. Practitioners are explicitly taught to work under the guidance of "Reiki guides" — named spiritual entities.
The central deception: the energy being channeled is from God.
James 5:14-15 describes legitimate Christian healing: "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." The mechanism is prayer, anointing, faith, and the sovereign will of God. The Holy Spirit is a Person who moves as He wills, not a force channeled through prescribed hand positions.
Any system in which the practitioner becomes a conduit for spiritual power on demand — by technique, by position, by ritual — is not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit cannot be systematized. What can be systematized is a demonic counterfeit.
"Christian Reiki" is more dangerous than secular Reiki because it eliminates the only warning signal that might otherwise trigger discernment — it makes the demonic feel divine.
Spirit transfer through attunement. The attunement process is a spiritual initiation that connects the student to demonic entities. This is not metaphor — attunements frequently produce physical phenomena (shaking, heat, involuntary vocalizations) in recipients who were not aware of their spiritual nature.
The practitioner becomes a medium. As Reiki practice deepens, practitioners enter an increasingly intimate working relationship with their "guides" — demonic entities they have been taught to follow and consult. The deeper the practice, the more fully they function as mediums.
Recipients carry the transfer home. Clients who receive Reiki frequently report subsequent spiritual disturbance — nightmares, oppressive atmospheres, felt presences. The demonic entities involved in the session do not confine themselves to the table.
If you have received Reiki treatments — in a clinical setting, from a friend, at a wellness center, from a "Christian Reiki" practitioner — you have received a spiritual transfer. The therapeutic framing and the setting do not determine the spiritual nature of what occurred.
Repent for seeking healing outside God's ordained means. Renounce every Reiki guide by name if they were named. Break the spiritual transfer that occurred in each session. Ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse your body from every demonic energy that entered through the practice.
If you practice Reiki: the practice must stop. Destroy all Reiki symbols, manuals, and materials — Acts 19:19. Renounce your attunement and break every agreement with the entities involved. Seek deliverance prayer.
Reiki works from the outside in. The next lesson examines the system designed to work from the inside out — awakening the serpentine energy the practitioner was always trying to reach.
