Module 7: The Spirit's Mission
10 min read
This course will end, but your life in the Spirit will not. The goal of these seven modules is not merely to give you information. It is to form a habit: a lifetime of walking, listening, yielding, loving, serving, and mission under the Holy Spirit's leading.
The Christian life is a marathon, not a sprint. There will be seasons of excitement and seasons of dryness. There will be victories and failures. The Spirit will be with you through all of it.
Finishing well means continuing to the end. It means staying faithful when no one is watching. It means keeping your love for Jesus warm over decades. It means passing on what you have received to the next generation.
A lifetime in the Spirit is built on simple, repeated practices:
These practices are not burdens. They are the rhythm of life with God.
The Spirit wants to use your whole life. He wants your final years to be as fruitful as your first. He wants you to finish with faith, hope, and love. And He wants you to pass the flame to others.
Paul's final words to Timothy are a model: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7. That is the Spirit-filled finish.
The Bible ends with an invitation. "The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!'" Revelation 22:17. The Spirit is still calling. He is calling the lost to salvation. He is calling the church to readiness. He is calling you deeper.
Your whole life can be one long "Come, Holy Spirit." And it can be one long response: "Here I am, send me."
This week, write a simple covenant with the Holy Spirit. Commit to walking with Him, listening to Him, obeying Him, and joining His mission until the day you see Jesus face to face. Sign it. Date it. Share it with a friend. This is how finishing well begins.
