Part V — How the Enemy Gains Access: Open Doors and Spiritual Attacks
He was a venture capitalist. Stanford MBA, two successful exits, a Range Rover in the garage and a hollow place in his chest that nothing had touched. His therapist recommended an ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica. The brochure used words like "integration," "healing," and "ancient wisdom." His therapist had done it herself. His business partner had done it. Johns Hopkins was running clinical trials. It seemed almost medical.
He came back from Costa Rica different. Not in the way the brochure had promised. He could not sleep without the entities appearing. He quit his job. His marriage ended. He describes himself now as "guided by the medicine" — which means, in practice, guided by the entities that never left after the ceremony.
Psychedelics — ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, ketamine, peyote, MDMA — are powerful psychoactive substances that shatter the normal boundary between conscious and subconscious, producing hallucinations, altered states of consciousness, and what users consistently describe as encounters with intelligent non-human entities.
Archaeological evidence places psilocybin mushroom use in religious ritual at 6,000 years ago. The Aztecs called them teonanácatl — "flesh of the gods." Ayahuasca means "vine of the dead" in Quechua. Every culture that has used these substances has understood them as tools for spirit contact, not merely for neurological experience.
The modern therapeutic rebranding — university research centers, ketamine clinics, trauma-treatment retreats — has succeeded in persuading many Christians that these are medical treatments rather than what they have always been: chemical keys to forbidden spiritual doors.
The entities are real. Rick Strassman's DMT research at the University of New Mexico documented that participants consistently and independently reported encounters with autonomous, intelligent beings — "machine elves," insectile intelligences, serpentine entities — that communicated telepathically and performed examinations. Strassman, beginning the study as a materialist, concluded these experiences could not be explained purely by brain chemistry.
What they are: fallen angels. Interdimensional beings who have waited for humanity to voluntarily remove the cognitive defenses that God built into ordinary consciousness. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 lists the categories of forbidden spiritual access. The psychedelic removes the barrier chemically. The forbidden access takes place immediately.
Ayahuasca means "vine of the dead." The brew is prepared under occult ritual, and the vomiting — called la purga — is described by shamans as "purging of demons." The demons are precisely what the ceremony invites in.
Voluntary surrender of the defensive architecture God built. The default mode network — the brain system responsible for stable identity and memory — is specifically disrupted by psychedelics. God designed human identity to be stable and anchored in Him. Chemically dissolving it opens the person to deception about who they are and Whose they are.
Entity attachment that follows the user home. Users report persistent entities — visible in peripheral vision, present in dreams, audible as voices — following psychedelic use. These are demonic attachments that treated the voluntary chemical opening as a legal invitation.
Generational contamination. Entity attachments pass to children and affect households. One ayahuasca ceremony can create a generational spiritual assignment.
The therapeutic framing is not a spiritual exemption. The Johns Hopkins approval does not change the spiritual reality. If you have used psychedelics in any context — recreational, ceremonial, therapeutic, or "just once to see" — you have opened a door through chemical means that requires spiritual closure.
Repent specifically for each substance and each use. Renounce every entity encountered by name if it gave one, or by the description of its appearance. Command their departure in Jesus' name. Pray specifically over your mind, perceptual faculties, and identity architecture, asking the Holy Spirit to restore the boundaries God designed.
Do not return to these substances. Ephesians 5:18: "Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit." There is an authorized altered state: the infilling of the Holy Spirit. It requires no chemical key — only surrender to Christ.
Psychedelics force spiritual doors open through chemistry. Astral projection attempts to walk through those doors deliberately, without chemical assistance. The next lesson examines what waits on the other side.
Community Discussion: Have you used psychedelics recreationally or in a ceremonial context — including ayahuasca, psilocybin, or DMT? What entities or experiences did you encounter?
