Part V — How the Enemy Gains Access: Open Doors and Spiritual Attacks
He had been doing it for four years before he encountered something he could not explain away. He was practiced at the technique — the vibration stage, the exit sequence, the feeling of floating above his body. He had visited places. He had tested the phenomenon scientifically, verifying details of distant locations. He had shared his research with online communities of practitioners who took the project seriously.
Then on a Tuesday night at 2 AM, something in the astral plane found him before he found it. He described it later as being approached by an intelligence that had been watching him — that knew his name, knew his history, and was interested in him in a way that felt possessive rather than curious. He could not move to return to his body. He was held there for what he estimated at seven minutes.
He had his first panic attack at 34. He had never experienced one before. He stopped practicing after that night but could not stop the experiences from continuing without his initiation.
Astral projection is the deliberate attempt to separate the soul from the physical body and travel in a "subtle body" to other locations, dimensions, or spirit realms. It is taught in occult traditions, New Age workshops, online tutorials, and guided meditation apps that walk users through techniques including the "vibration method," the "rope technique," and various breathing and visualization protocols.
The practice is framed as an exploration of natural human potential — the claim that the soul's capacity to travel beyond the body is a suppressed ability that modern materialist culture has caused people to forget.
Hebrews 9:27: "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." One life. One death. One judgment. The soul does not travel the earth in a subtle body between death and judgment, nor during life. The departure of the spirit from the body is the event called death. God governs that event.
To attempt voluntary soul travel outside the body is to attempt what only God has authority over. What practitioners encounter in the "astral plane" — the consistent presence of intelligent entities, the attacks, the sexual violations that are documented across cultures and traditions of practitioners — are demonic beings operating in the dimension between the physical and spiritual that humans were never designed to navigate outside of death and resurrection.
The "silver cord" that practitioners describe as their connection to the body during projection is not a lifeline — it is the mechanism of a spiritual tether that entities in the astral realm use to maintain access.
The vacated body creates a legal vacancy. The soul that voluntarily leaves the body creates an unoccupied physical vessel — a vacancy that demonic entities treat as available territory. The "sleep paralysis demons" that practitioners frequently encounter upon return are entities that occupied the body during the absence.
Soul fragmentation is documented. Repeated astral projection practitioners describe a growing quality of not being fully present in their bodies — dissociation, depersonalization, a difficulty reintegrating after experiences. This is consistent with the soul experiencing partial separation that does not fully repair.
The experiences escalate toward encounter with specifically malevolent entities. What begins as exploration gradually brings the practitioner into contact with entities that are not neutral — that pursue, pursue, possess, and create lasting attachment. The practitioners who describe these encounters are not embellishing. They are describing what inhabits the domain they voluntarily entered.
If you have practiced astral projection, you have voluntarily left the body for a domain that belongs to the demonic realm. You have been in territory you were never designed to enter. And you may have brought something back.
Repent for the practice. Renounce every entity encountered, named or unnamed. Break every attachment and tether that was formed in the astral encounters. Ask the Holy Spirit to restore the integrity of your soul — to gather back every fragment that was separated and to seal the boundaries God designed.
Romans 12:1: "Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." The body is presented to God — not vacated for the enemy's domain. The reasonable service of the Christian is to inhabit the body God gave fully, in His service, until He calls it home.
Seven forms of deliberate spiritual seeking — all arriving at the same entities. The next lesson opens Wave 4: explicit occult practice, the domain where the enemy is named by name.
